Rüdenhausen Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a demi-dog issuant from the sinister Gules gorged Or.
Meaning:
The arms are canting, displaying a male dog (German: Rüde), which had been taken from the crest of the arms of the Lords of Gnottstadt, who ruled the village as vassals of the Counts of Castell. The village was elevated to a market town in 1742. The current pattern was used in seals since the 16th century, displaying a dog without paws.
