Sankt Leon-Rot Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure a tiara Argent with coronets Or and scarves Argent, at sinister Or a sickle Sable bladed Azure.
Meaning:
The tiara is representing fhe former St.Leon municipality and referring to Pope Leo IX, who is said to have sanctified the local parish church in 1049. The sickle had been a local symbol of the former Rot municipality. Rot had been a colony of St. Leon and was separated from the parent municipality in 1289. Both settlements had been dominions of the Bishopric of Speyer until 1802/1803. They merged in 1964.The tinctures of the dexter half are those of the Bishopric of Speyer.
