Grainet Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a staff Vert in pale with leaves of the same, at sinister Vert a bell Argent.
Meaning:
The staff is referring to a legend, how the village was originated. An erratic wanderer swore to built a chapel, in case he would be saved. After he had found his way he marked the building plot of the chapel by his staff. Returning he found the staff leafy. The bell had been an acustic signal for the waggoners of salt transport to find their way also tonight and in the fog.
