Böhmfeld Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Argent, a triplemount issuant Vert charged with a chevron wavy issuant Argent, above an impending crozier Gules of an abbess; at sinister Gules an impending column Or.
Meaning:
Mount and chevron wavy are representing the landscape, especially the Reisberg, a mountain, and the riches of water. The column is dedicated to St. Boniface, the local patron saint. It is alluding to the saint and the chevron wavy as representation of a fountain. The column was built in the 17th century. The crozier is alluding to the Benedictine St. Walburg Nunnery in Eichstätt, which owned large estates in the village since 1035 and was local ruler until 1803. The tinctures red and white are taken from the arms of the nunnery.
