Presentation of Pfaffschwende

The shield is parted per pale; at dexter green charged with a throughout silver, Latin cross; at sinister silver charged with a black, burning pale raguly, flambant golden fimbriated red.
The arms are punning. The cross is symbolizing a priest (German: Pfaffe), stressing the fact, that the village had been a possession of the church. The pale is representing the suffix " -schwende" , which means that the village was resulted from forest clearance done by burning the woods.
