Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a yellow over blue horizontal bicolour with a blue, Latin cross bottony in the canton.
Meaning:
The cross is denoted according to terms of German heraldry as a clovercross or cross of St.Morris (Latin: Mauritius), though St.Victor had been the city's patron saint and the cross was depicted on seals very early. The cross is that one from the city's coat of arms.
