Bitz Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Azure, an eagle's wing Argent, chief Or charged with an attire Sable.
Meaning:
The attire is representing the Kings of Württemberg, the former rulers, while the eagle's wing is representing the Lords of Lichtenstein, local rulers until 1386.

The current coat of arms was approved on 17 April 1958 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 219/1958. A blue - white bicolour was already approved on 8 May 1951 by Ministry of State of Württemberg-Hohenzollern.
