It is a yellow-red vertical bicolour with ration of stripes approx. 5:2. The coat of arms is shifted to the top on the yellow stripe. There are vertical inscriptions as follows "MÖNCHSWALDGEMEINDE" (red at right bottom end of the yellow stripe), "MITTELESCHENBACH" (white and bigger on left edge of the red stripe) and "IM FRÄNKISCHEN SEENLAND" (yellow on right edge of red stripe at the top end).

Mitteleschenbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a rake Or and a crozier Or in saltire.
Meaning:
The rake is alluding to the Lords of Rechenberg, who owned estates in the village in the Medieval. The crozier is alluding to the Bishopric of Eichstätt, to which the village historically belonged.
