Arberg Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, on top of a triplemount Vert issuant from base an eagle Or superimposing a crozier Argent in pale.
Meaning:
The Bishopric of Eichstätt acquired the possessions of all local noblemen between 1319 and 1512. The tinctures red and white and the crozier are alluding to the bishopric. Eagle and mountain are canting elements. The current pattern was displayed in all seals since the end of the 15th century. The oldest town seal from the beginning of the 15th century only displayed an eagle.
