The date on the scroll reads 1 March 1963, recalling the emancipation of Tapira from the municipality of Sacramento. Photos taken during the celebration of the 47th anniversary of the foundation of the municipality show the flag in indoors use, together with the flags of Brazil and Minas Gerais: http://www.tapira.mg.gov.br/galerias/nivertap_10/segunda_feira/index.html (photos No.1 and No. 2).
