The coat of arms was granted on 6 October 1992; it is found in State Official Gazette No. 566 of that year. As found on wikipedia: "In a blue shield, silver, under a profiled fountain arch adjoining on all sides, a winged, double-tailed Triton boy, blowing a water-spouting horn." Clearly, it references its name as a spa town [The healing springs, consisting of alkaline, iron-rich and oxygen-rich mineral waters, have been known since Roman times]. Banner adoption date unknown; it uses the colors: blue and white.
