The coat of arms was granted in 1992 after it received the "Market Town" status; it is found in State Official Gazette Resolution No. 147 of that year. The upper half is argent, depicting an "A" in blue for its name over it. The lower half is composed of an azure field and depicts a white turkey standing over a green base; the turkey stands as a symbol of its agricultural economy. Banner adoption date unknown; it uses the colors: blue and white.
[The turkey could probably also refer to the local national park Neusiedler See – Seewinkel.]
