Description of the flag

In 1941 the Shore Acres Yacht Club was opened. It's located at the mouth of Kettle Creek, and by extension is on Barnegat Bay. The club is one of the members of the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association.

The club has undergone some change over time, the most dramatic of which was the visit by Tropical Storm Sandy in 2012 at which the entire clubhouse was lost. It took until 2019 before the clubhouse could be officially reopened.

The club's burgee is a white field with a blue border and a blue barrulet, in each half of the field a red five-pointed star.
