The tree on the flag is a cedar tree, a direct allusion to the cedar found on the national flag of Lebanon, which shares the name of the town.

The seal is a white ring with black outlines. The town and state names are inscribed on it, divided by the incorporation year and two cedar branches. In the center is a white disk with a green cedar tree in the center.
