Description of the flag

The flag is white with a circular central emblem divided into fourths, the upper left stating GOLD and with a radiant gold nugget, the upper right showing miner's pick, shovel and gold pan, the lower left stating HILLS and showing hills behind a river, and the lower right stating DAYS OF "76". Above and below are written DEADWOOD and SOUTH DAKOTA.
