Description of the flag

Although Aroostook County, Maine, previously reported that does not have an official flag, there is evidence to the contrary. In Aroostook County each year there is a fishing derby sponsored by the County. As a prize, Aroostook County Flags are awarded. The flag is unequal vertical stripes of green, white and green, bearing a map of the county and the year of its incorporation, 1839, also in green.
