The seal is a white ring with black outlines. The ring has the text "CITY OF" at the top with the state name at the bottom. In the center is a variety of symbols which reflect the city's history. First is a Moonbow, which is a rare natural phenomenon that occurs the same way a a rainbow forms, only in the dark. Moonbows are common at the Cumberland Falls, located near Corbin and are also depicted on the seal. A Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket is displayed above a wooden building with a sign stating: "SANDERS CAFE". The Sanders Café was constructed by Colonel Sanders, originally in 1937. It was burnt down in a fire in 1939, and new one was built in 1940. It is also where KFC's "secret recipe" was created. A man is fishing in a boat which is labeled as "CHRISTY". A banner, mixed with a black train is inscribed with the city's name. Underneath is the incorporation year. Three interlocking yellow arrows fly from the ring and under the banner pointing at the city name. These represents the three counties that Corbin are a part of, Whitley, Knox, and Laurel counties. At the very bottom is a pine forest.
