Description of the flag

The City Administration has informed me that the city has no flag.

Garnett KS held a flag contest in 2018 and announced the winner in February 2019.

Here's a recent FB photo with an actual flag: https://www.facebook.com/garnettks/photos. The Winner was the design submitted by Emma Self which was selected as the winning entry in the Garnett City Flag Design Challenge. Emma's description of the meaning and symbolism contained in her flag design is as follows:

"My design is about how here in Garnett, we farm a lot and how the sun rises and sets in the field; how much beauty it has. We will remember how beautiful our town is."

The hand drawn design was recreated for the final version of the flag to be made.
