A stylized scenic flag with a range of green mountains edged white across the bottom third, a blue sky above, and a rising sun behind the horizon at the hoist before which flies a black hawk.
I received meeting minutes regarding the adoption of the town flag from the
town clerk. On August 13, 2003, City Clerk Yancy presented Matthew Meeks,
president of MOO Interactive, who then presented several flag designs for
consideration by the board. On September 10, City Manager Blanchard distributed
three designs of the flag; some discussion was held, such as on moving the date
and changing the mountains. On October 10, the Board agreed on getting a sample
and paying the company for the design. Finally, the city flag was unveiled by
the city clerk on December 17.
