Description of the flag

The flag of the Town of Chatom, Alabama, recalls the Alabama state flag, but in the center is positioned the town seal - a red map of Alabama with a golden star pointing out the location, and "CHATOM 1949 ALABAMA 1904" in the circle. I saved this photo from the previous version of the town website.

"Chatom is a town in Washington County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 1,193. The town is the county seat of Washington County."
