Climate change is any long-term change, globally or regionally, in average
weather patterns. These changes have occurred in Earth's history for many
reasons. However the massive changes in global temperature and weather patterns
today are caused by human activity, and they're happening much faster than ever
before. Today climate change is linked to the emission of greenhouse gases
(carbon dioxide and methane) and trapping heat from the sun in the Earth's
atmosphere enhancing the greenhouse effect and rapid global warming. The result
is violent storms, long term droughts in some areas and severe flooding in
others. Those concerned about climate change are seeking ways to raise peoples
awareness about global warming and what it may cause. They see the problem as,
how do they get those in denial to realize the danger is real, and then to
convince them to support solutions for the problem before it is too late?
This flag is obviously an attempt to do so in a rather simple way. A shame
it is only one-sided and the message reversed on the backside when flown.
