Outer Banks Distilling is a local craft distillery established after 2005 in
the town of Manteo in North Carolina's Outer Banks. The distillery makes only
one type of alcohol - rum, in a number of varieties - which they have named Kill
Devil Rum in honor of the Kill Devil Hills area,
where all four of the company's owners grew up.
The Outer Banks
Distilling company flag, as seen in a photograph online at

features the company's "ghost ship" logo in white on a black field with the
words "KILL DEVIL RUM" in white capital letters across the bottom.
