The Ministry of Education (MOE), apart from being paraded at the various
events, is flown alongside the national flag at the Ministry headquarters at
Buona Vista. The logo is based on a red shield on which is contained an open
book supported by two lions rampant guardant. Above the book is a torch. At the
base of the book and lions, something of a compartment, are water spurts. A blue
banner bearing the text "Ministry of Education" appears below the water spurts.
The word Singapore appears between the tips of the title-banner. On general
observation, the logo seems to be highly influenced by the elements and
structure of the national arms of Singapore.
For a flag, the logo is
charged at the centre of a plain white field. The ministry is one of the few
ministries to have a logo and a flag for itself.
Logo was obtained from the Ministry of Education website.
