Shield Or on a fess Purple a pitch fork Or, in chief three maize ears Or leafed Vert in pale and arrayed per fess, in base a grape bunch Purple leafed Vert.
Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILARINHO - VILA VERDE".
Meaning:
The word "vilarinho" is an hypochoristic of "vilar", meaning roughly "settlement", usually a village without its own church.
The pitch fork is however blazoned as a trident ("tridente" instead of "forquilha").
This is unexpected, as tridents are usually a heraldic stand-in for harpoons and this commune has a lot more of haygathering going around than big game fishing.
