It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and blue. The existence of this proposal is not yet verified but very likely.

Shield Azure an ash eradicated Or, flanked at dexter by a Stone Age axe Argent in pale tied purple and at sinister by a wine plant Argent with two grape bunches Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FREIXO DE NUMÃO". 
Meaning:
The ash (Portuguese: freixo) is a canting element. The axe is alluding to excavation in the valley of the Côa River. The plant stands for viticulture.

Freixo de Numão was one of the five communes of Vila Nova de Foz Côa Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 502 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 36,35 km².

Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "MURÇA - VILA NOVA de FOZ CÔA". 
Meaning:
Barrel and branch are symbolising the production of wine and olive oil. Murça was incorporated into Freixo de Numão in 2013.
