It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of blue and white.

Shield Argent divided by a net Sable, over all in centre a boat Azure with unfurled sails Argent and adorned Gules over Or between a cross Greek Gules acorned Sable and Or in chief and a pear Vert in base. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters  "ARMAÇÂO DE PÊRA".
Meaning:
Boat and net are symbolizing fishing, still the main business of the inhabitants. The acorned cross is the attribute of St. Anthony. The pear (Portuguese: pêra) is a canting element.

Armação de Pêra Commune is one of the six communes of Silves Municipality, It had 4867 inhabitants in 2011 covering 9,15 km².
