Malveira Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Mafra Municipality (q.v.); it had 6493 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 9.8 km².

Shield Azure, golden scales held in balance by a flamy sword Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "SÃO MIGUEL DE ALCAINÇA".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint and the commune's name giver.
