It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Shield Azure, in base a bucket elevator Argent garnished Sable, in centre a crescent recumbent Or topped by a 6-point star of the same and a royal coronet of the same. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "CONCEIÇÃO - FARO"
Meaning:
Crescent and star probably are attributes of Our Lady of Conception, the local patron saint. The bucket elevator is a masterpiece of Moorish engineering technology, that enables the elevation of buckets from a waterwell by chain , usually using donkeys or cows, and that is spreadout in allmost all of the Iberian Peninsula, and very common in my region of the Algarve.

Conceição Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Faro Municipality (q.v.); it had 4524 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 21.8 km².
