Shield Argent issuant from base a mount Vert semy of bezants, in chief a fleur-de-lis Azure flanked by two pine cones Vert leafed of the same. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals: "PENA VERDE".

Pena Verde was one of the seven communes of Aguiar da Beira Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 715 inhabitants in 2021 and covers km².
