Blazon: På grøn grunn ein sølv hegre. In English: Vert a heron argent.
Approved by the royal resolution of 11 March 1988 after a drawing by John Digernes.
The current mayor of Forsand is not quite satisfied with the design and thinks that "a ferocious animal" is not the best representation of the municipality.
