Blazon: På raud grunn tre opprette sølv knivar. English: Gules three knives argent in fess palewise points to the base.
Approved by the royal resolution of 18 April 1986 after a drawing by Odd Kjell Mostad. [c2j87]
The design refers to the famous knife manufacture in Gjerstad, having a long tradition.
