Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 16.784; area: 35,14 km². Settlements: Didam (seat), Greffelkamp, Holthuizen, Loil, Nieuw-Dijk, Oud-Dijk.
Didam is just east of Arnhem. The flag was adopted 5 Aug 1954; the colors are derived from the municipal Coat of Arms.
