Boane is located in the south of Mozambique in Maputo District. It was a important base for Portuguese colonial troops in East Africa.
The municipal flag comprises three horizontal stripes of green, yellow and light
blue with white fimbriations. The municipal arms are to be found in the
centre of the flag in the middle of the yellow stripe.
