On June 26, 2014, President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree giving the
Moldovan Defense Minister his own flag and personalized gold ring.

The flag is blue with a yellow fimbriated red cross. The
eagle from Armed Forces flag (without wreath) is placed in the canton. The flag
is square.
