Background

Kitui County is located in the centre of Kenya and was formerly part of Eastern Province.

Description of the flag

The county flag comprises three horizontal stripes of black, beige and green, fimbriated in white.  At the hoist is a light blue triangle, also fimbriated in white, in the centre of which is the county Arms. The Arms have not yet been formally approved.

Simplified versions of the flag without the triangle at the hoist are also know to exist.
