Located in Minato City Tokyo and established in 1962.
The university flag has navy blue background with a white emblem and vertically written white kanji university name.
The central part of the "學" on the university emblem is a graphic representation of the tetanus bacillus, commemorating the academic founder Shibasaburo Kitasato's success in cultivating a pure strain of tetanus bacillus and establishing a serum therapy.
