Flag

Located in Fukushima City Fukushima Prefecture and established in 1949. The university flag has sky-blue background with a white emblem in the center. The emblem consists of the kanji word "大學" and a wreath of Shinobu kusa (weeping fern) around it. The name is derived from the old name of the northern part of Fukushima Prefecture, which was Shinobu.
