The town emblem was adopted on Aug 1st 1960 by Notice No 20 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana のせ Nose in a form of a folding-fan. It represents an image of a legendary Meigetsu Hime Moon Queen protecting a peaceful town.
