The city emblem was adopted on Dec 1st 2004 by Notice No 86 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue, a green and an orange three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana い I of Inabe. The blue color stands for an abundant water stream of Inabe River, the green color for the earth with a rich nature and the orange color for a vigor of the citizen making a leap forward.
