"جامعة جيهان" Cihan University (Erbil) was approved by the Kurdish Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and established by Cihan Holding Group for scientific investments in 2006 and operated for the first time in 2007 as one of the first private English-speaking institutions in Kurdistan, in order to provide a cost-effective and value-based education. It has two Branches:
- Cihan University – Sulaimaniya (official website: https://sulicihan.edu.krd), approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kurdistan Region in 2011 and started operating for the first time in 2011-2012.
- Cihan University – Duhok (official website: https://www.duhokcihan.edu.krd), approved by Kurdistan region government council – Iraq, Kurdistan national council law (Parliament) number (33) in 2004 and approval of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Kurdistan region Iraq.
Cihan University was also recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Iraq according to the decision 4632 on 6/7/2017. It started activities in 2013-2014.

It has six Colleges:
- College of Law and International Relations (flag diagonally white over green)
- College of Administrative and Financial sciences (flag diagonally white over purple)
- College of Arts and Letters (flag diagonally white over yellow)
- College of Education
- College of Engineering (flag diagonally white over orange)
- College of Science (flag diagonally white over blue)
- College of Health Technology
