Description of the flag

Torteval (Guernésiais: Tortévas) is the smallest of the ten Guernsey parishes. Its name comes from the Guernésiais words for 'twisting valley'. It is the westernmost parish of Guernsey and is part of the Guernsey Western Parishes.

The modern flag is white with a red canton in the hoist. In the upper canton is located, the cross of Guernsey. In the bottom half are three blue waves. In the upper half in the flying part is a gray gull. In the middle of the cloth a ship with four sailing is depicted.
