Coat of Arms:
Shield parted per pale of Gules and Or, on a chevron between 
three roses two pears all counterchanged with the roses barbed and seeded 
proper, i.e. Vert and Or.
Motto on white scroll beneath: “HUMANI NIL ALIENUS” 
suggests a global outlook “Nothing human is alien.”
Meaning:
The college 
was founded in 1965. The arms echo those of Sir Isaac Wolfson, the founder. The 
red roses represent Lancaster, where he was from. The pears represent the fruit 
of labour
