The Leicester Rowing Club is a general rowing club located in the heart
of the City of Leicester, The club was founded in 1882, from the
amalgamation of three clubs founded a decade earlier. It has had several
locations in the past but currently has its own custom-build Boat House on
the "Mile Straight", the stretch of the Grand Union Canal that passes
through the city. It's also in this water that it organises the Leicester
Regatta.
The flag of the Leicester Rowing Club can be seen at

It's a white coloured high flag, close to 2:1, with a black tressure and
with mostly in the upper part, though not as high as possible, the club's
emblem: In black a wyvern facing the hoist, with centred below it "1882" and
at its bottom two crossed oars with white blades. In the flag, the tongue
(flame?) of the wyvern and the year are in red. The space below the emblem
is left blank, with near the lower fly corner inside the tressure what looks
like a text in blue: one small line that might be "sponsored by", and a
larger that might be "Autosigns" in capitals.
[Could the tressure be
dark blue instead?]
According to the club's captain, Robert Fox, the
club has had this flag for at least ten years. He's not sure how much older
it is, though. (This high flag seems rather modern. Considering that the
oars will easily allow stretching the emblem slightly horizontally, I wonder
whether the club may have had a very nice looking 2:3 flag before this one.)
