Tena canton (60,880 inhabitants in 2010; 39,043 ha) is located in the south 
of Napo province.

The flag of Tena is horizontally divided in two stripes of equal size. 
The upper stripe, golden yellow, symbolizes the resources in gold; the lower 
stripe, green, symbolizes the canton's rich flora.
