Here is the flag of the Sea Distress Rescue Service of the GDR, which was adopted in 1960. The flag was white with a blue bordure, in centre was a blue anchor in a red circle with white inscription "SEENOTRETTUNGSDIENST" (above) and "DDR" (below).
