It is a red-white-red vertical triband with ratio of stripes 1:2:1. The coat of arms is in the centre of the white stripe.

Shield Gules four horizontal wedges Argent at dexter and three arrowheads Azure ordered per bend sinister at sinister.
Meaning:
The arms shows a combination of the arms of the local gentry families of von Kerberg (wedges) and von Retzow (arrowheads). The tinctures were kept but the positions were modified.

The flag was approved on 20 November 2007 and the arms were approved on 5 November 1990 by Minister of Interior of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and published in the Municipal Roll of Arms Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as no.1.

It is a blue-yellow vertical bicolour with centred arms.

Shield is divided per pale; at dexter Or a demi bull's head Sable, crowned Or, armed Argent and tongued Gules, accompanied by a 6-point star Azure on dexter chief point; at sinister Azure a key Or in pale.
Meaning:
The meaning of the star is unknown. The bull's head is symbolising the Werle branch of the Princes of Mecklenburg. The key is symbolising the Benedicitines, which had a domain in the city in the middle ages.

It is a green-yellow-blue vertical tricolour with ratio of stripes 1:2:1. The coat of arms is in the middle of the yellow stripe.

Shield Or a boar passant Sable armed Argent, chief Vert, base Azure.
Meaning:
The boar is canting referring to the Slavic origin of the name of the municipality. The tinctures are symbolising woods (green), grain fields (yellow) and the Müritz Lake (blue). The flag colours are a repetition of the tinctures.

Flag and arms were approved on 4 February 2003 by Minister of Interior of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and published in the Municipal Roll of Arms Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as no.275. The symbols were abolished on 26 May 2019, when Vipperow merged with the neighbouring municipality of Ludorf.
