It is a yellow-blue-yellow vertical triband with stripes of equal width. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Shield Or with flanches wavy Azure, in centre a fleur-de-lis Azure between two triplets of lozenges Azure, above ordered 1:2, beneath ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
Fleur-de-lis and lozenges are probably representing the former municipalities Parey, its arms displayed three fleur-de-lis Gules in a shield Argent, furthermore Bergzow, Derben, Ferchland, Güsen, Hohenseeden and Zerben. The flanches wavy are probably alluding to the meadows of River Elbe.

The fleur-de-lis is alluding to the Plotho family. It occurs on a couple of more flags and coats of arms in the area (northern Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt).

The arms were approved on 23 July 2007 by the county administration. Flag and banner were approved on 15 October 2007 by the county administration.
