Falkenstein Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Azure a tower issuant Argent with roof Sabl, having two turrets of the same, in chief seven 5-point stars Or flanking the tower and ordered 3:2:2; at sinister Argent three falcons volant Sable in pale.
Meaning:
The ensemble is canting. The tower is a representation of the name giving Falkenstein castle and the falcons (German: Falken) also refer to the name. The stars are now interpreted as the seven villages, which merged on 1 January 2002, forming the city, which gained the title, as Ermsleben had been a city before. The arms are a slight modification of the former municipal arms of Meisdorf.
