Meaning:
The arms are considered to be canting. The bend wavy is representing the little Lein River. The church is alluding to a monasterial settlement, which had been the core of the village.

The banner was approved on 29 December 1980 by the county administration, published in GABl 232/1981. The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1923.
