Divided by red and white above a green base of the shield, covered with a white-blue oblique wavy bar,
in the upper left corner a wild ramsons blossom with six white leaves, green sepals and a yellow blossom.
The new Messen commune was formed on 1 January 2010 by the merger of Messen, Balm bei Messen, Brunnenthal and
Oberramsern (see below).
